Letzte Woche war ich ein paar Tage im Nationalpark Val Grande. Es ist das grösste Wildnisgebiet Italiens, nur einen Katzensprung vom Lago Maggiore entfernt. Der Nationalpark Val Grande ist ein einzigartiges Tal „abseits der Welt“. Der Park erzählt von einer alten Bergbauernkultur, die in den Menschen und Orten lebendig ist. Hier kann man Empfindungen spüren, die nur eine Wildnis vermitteln kann. Deshalb nennt man das Val Grande auch „ein Tal grosser Gefühle“.
Last week I spent a few days in the Val Grande National Park. It is the largest wilderness area in Italy, just a stone’s throw from Lake Maggiore. The Val Grande National Park is a unique valley, removed from space and time. The park tells stories of an ancient alpine-farming culture which is still alive in the places and people of the valley and the villages located in the territory. Here, wilderness conveys intense feelings. Therefore, the Val Grande is also called „a valley of grand emotions.“
